Creative Futures 2013
Creative Futures 2013 was a creative careers event which took place over two days at The Forum in Norwich. The first day (Friday 22 March) was for school and college groups only and consisted of a choice of 14 hands-on sessions of which students could select two to take part in for the morning or afternoon session. Click here to see what sessions were available and who was running them. The films above give you a flavour and some top tips.
The second day (Saturday 23 March) was open to the public on a drop-in basis. From 11am there were 15 minute slots of Short Talks from 17 local creative professionals about how they got started and what they enjoy about their work. Click here to see who spoke, and recording of their talks.
In addition there were stalls of information and demonstrations from local creative businesses (eg Hexcam, Laboratory Media), arts organisations (eg Writers' Centre Norwich) and education institutions (such as City College Norwich, NUA, UEA, Great Yarmouth College and Open College Suffolk). Over 250 young people attended on Friday and there was a constant flow of people of all ages on Saturday, in spite of foul and wintery weather conditions. Below are some pictures of the Friday sessions and on other pages you will find out more about other parts of the event.
