Creative Futures 15 was a great success and we think we got the formula just right in terms of structure to get the maximum number of students involved.

1. TV Newsroom – BBC Voices – get hands-on experience of a TV newsroom with BBC Voices
2. Make Radio Show – BBC Voices – Find out from the experts at BBC Voices what is needed to put together a show and have a go at presenting and controlling the software
3. Filming for TV TV Journalism with the UEA TV film crew: UEA:TV aim to provide you with the skills to use their creativity and innovation to produce and short 'Mocumentary' by following a short orienteering exercise; testing your writing, presenting and camera skills. 4. Making Music with apps - Touchscreen, wireless, touch free and circuitry. Use the latest and most innovative devices and apps to make quality music, quickly and effectively. Get involved with creating the banana keyboard. with Laboratory Media Education's Lisa Woods and James Porter.
5. Sound Advice - How to make a living out of music with Norwich Sound & Vision/Community Music East
6. Music Production – with Future Studios. This session will provide you with all the basic knowledge you need to get started in music production, from recording a vocal to mixing different instruments. If you like to sing/rap or play an instrument, we will help you to understand and manage the production processes that take place. You will use software such as Logic and Reason to develop the basics in building up song structures and syncing instruments together. You will be creating drum loops, applying bass synths, sampling and sequencing.

7. Writing for student publications: Turning student journalism into a career
Geri Scott, Editor-in-Chief of Concrete - UEA’s Official Student newspaper, shares her experience in writing for a student newspaper, and going on to edit that newspaper, before looking at the importance of online journalism and how that translates into a real job. As cross-platform and digital media takes more prominence in the world of journalism, she will highlight how importance it is to be multi-trained, and how you can start building your skill set now through blogging and other pursuits.
8. How to be a magazine editor: Learn how to create the contents of a magazine like Outline, from reviewing new albums to interviewing bands with Lizz Page from Norwich's Outline magazine
9. Interviews and vox-pops: Producers and presenters from Future Radio will help you gain interviewing skills, learn how to use a digital recorder, prepare questions for an interview, interview people and produce short audio pieces. The activity will be very interactive and students will learn new skills, boost their confidence and get to talk to new people. Please bring a set of simple earphones with you.

10. Digital marketing and communications – Create a multi-channel ad campaign - Answer a creative brief and plan a multi-channel campaign strategy with e-marketing expert Matthew Hird from Affinity.
11. Games Design - Develop an animation character with games design students Jamie and Ollie from Norwich University of the Arts.
12. Animation introduction Animator, artist and film-maker Graham Johnston will show you how animation works and how you can make animations at home using simple equipment. 3 places left

Photography: Photographer and music writer Bruce Lindsay gives you the low-down on how to photograph live performance - musicians, dancers, performance poets etc - from getting a commission to practical issues like low lighting, dealing with audiences and preparing and submitting photos for publication. Really useful session. Please bring a camera if you have one, smartphone would be fine.

15. Guide to film-making – Short film-maker Johnny Blagrove will guide you through what you need to think about to make a short film, and help you to generate your own ideas and make a storyboard.
